ARCELORMITTALEllipse Building – Floors 18 to 21Boulevard du Roi Albert II 351030 Brussels
Area : 6.000 m²Within the context of the new real estate policy of Arcelor Mittal, it was decided that all divisions in the Brussels region as well as the financial services for a part of Europe should be brought together on one site in Brussels.
Floor 21 of the building was changed into a conference centre with a kitchen and a restaurant for +/- 200 people. The challenge was to create a quality working environment combining an open space and a maximum of closed offices in order to create a new working philosophy and to convince the different parties to join the Brussels site. In order to reinforce the appeal of the project, it was decided during the works that the furniture of the open spaces and the meeting rooms had to be renewed so that an esthetical uniformity could be kept between the different departments.
The different phases of the works were carried out within a period of 6 weeks apart from the fitting-out works in the kitchen area.Further to the realization of this project, Arcelor Mittal contacted Jones Lang LaSalle Luxemburg in order to obtain a price offer for another project management mission.
