Case Study

Provision of waste contract bid support to a large corporate

As part of a consortium formed with E.ON Energy from Waste UK, TATA Chemicals Europe needed to submit a highly-detailed and competitive bid for a long-term residual waste treatment contract being procured by the West London Waste Authority, involving the treatment of up to 300,000 tonnes of residual waste per year generated by a population of 1.4 million people.  TATA turned to the vast experience of Jones Lang LaSalle’s Renewable Energy Capital team in bids of this nature for advice throughout the process.
The support that we provided to TATA involved input at every stage of the ISDS (Invitation to Submit Detailed Solutions):

  • Financial Modeling – critical appraisal of the consortium model based on our Renewable Energy sector knowledge and experience
  • Project documentation – review on key documents such as the Payment Mechanism
  • Funding club selection – assisting TATA with its input into the consortium’s process to select senior debt funders
