Jones Lang LaSalle Scores Hat-trick of Accolades

At Hermes Responsible Property Investment Awards 2011

Jones Lang LaSalle has scooped three awards at the Hermes Responsible Property Investment (RPI) Awards, including Best Responsible Property Investment Initiative, Best Commercial Property and Overall Best Commercial Agent.

Commenting on the firm’s wins, Nigel Wheeler, Executive Chairman of Jones Lang LaSalle’s Property and Asset Management team, said; “We are proud to have been selected by Hermes for three of these prestigious awards.  We fully support Hermes’ strategy - that a responsible, sustainable approach to real estate investment management both protects and enhances the value of our clients’ assets, now and in the future.”

Initially focused on risk and safety, Hermes Responsible Property Investment awards programme has evolved over the past eighteen years in line with the growing sustainability agenda from energy and waste efficiency, community engagement, water efficiency, climate change and extreme weather events, to green technologies.  Covering the areas of risk and safety, environment and community, every year Hermes reward the best initiative, best property and best property manager in the retail and commercial sectors across its portfolio.

Tania Bosteels, Head of RPI at Hermes Real Estate, said; “Improving the performance of existing buildings is one of the most difficult sustainability challenges we face. The effective management of our existing assets therefore remains the bedrock of our RPI strategy.  We have a long tradition of rewarding our Property Managers for their outstanding work in implementing and developing our RPI programme and congratulate Jones Lang LaSalle on its continued success in this area.”
