Hermes Real Estate Investment Management Limited/GCE Data Centres turn on the power at Perivale Park

London, 13th September 2012 - In a significant move, resulting from interest in this location from data centre occupiers, Hermes Real Estate Investment Management Limited (HREIML) and GCE Data Centres have purchased the last 12 MVA of power currently available in the area for their Perivale Park Estate.

Ian Cody, Senior Asset Manager,  Hermes Real Estate Investment Management Limited, commented: "With 12 MVA of power purchased and energised in Q2 2013 and a site offering numerous plot configurations, Perivale Park offers occupiers a very flexible solution for those wishing to acquire their own data centre."

Gary Lees of GCE Data centres said: "The total power secured will support some 40,000 sq ft of net IT space and 15,000 sq ft of this already has full planning consent and can be delivered by Q4 2013."
Commenting on occupier’s requirements, Charlie Carden of Jones Lang LaSalle said: "Demand for data centres within and around the M25 remains positive. Perivale Park gives occupiers the ability to secure a real estate solution with their own front door and the flexibility to control capital expenditure on the technical fit out in line with projected IT growth / customer demand.”
Combined with the 10MVA of power already secured in Bracknell, HREIML now control 22 MVA illustrating their commitment to the data centre powered shell model.
