Italia Turismo S.p.A. mandates Jones Lang LaSalle to sell Palazzo Medici Clarelli in Rome

November 15th, 2012: Italia Turismo S.p.A. has mandated on an exclusive basis Jones Lang LaSalle to sell Palazzo Medici Clarelli, a prestigious Renaissance building located in Via Giulia, in the historic centre of Rome.

The palace, which has long been the home of the Famiglia de’ Medici, dates back to the middle of the 16th century. It has a high historic and architectonic value and benefits of various potential destinations of use. 

The mandate also includes a portfolio of assets spread across Italy: a plot of land in Lerici (SP) with an amazing view of the La Spezia gulf; a former factory in the historic centre of Sansepolcro (AR); a property in Saline di Volterra and some sea front lands in Agropoli (SA), Nicotera (VV) and Arenella (SR), suited for the development of beach hotels and resorts.

Roberto Galano, Head of Jones Lang LaSalle Hotels Italy, says: “The portfolio includes assets which offer interesting investment opportunities, such as sea front plots of land with development opportunities and properties with mixed use potentialities, like the former tobacco factory in the historic cenre of Sansepolcro. The portfolio includes also the well know historic palace Medici Clarelli, a trophy asset offering a unique investment opportunity in a high visibility location”.
