JLL appoints Director to its Renewable Energy Capital team

Dominic Szanto joins from RWE Innogy

JLL  today announced that Dominic Szanto will join the Renewable Energy Capital team as Director with a focus on developing its offshore wind and renewable energy advisory business in Europe.

Szanto joins the Exeter-based team after spending 11 years at RWE Innogy, where he started as an IT manager before moving into commercial development and M&A in 2007. He was appointed as Head of UK Commercial in 2008 and Senior Manager of M&A and Corporate Development in 2010.

JLL's European Renewable Energy Capital team was established in 2011 after acquisition of a team from EY. It forms part of JLL's EMEA Corporate Finance team, providing commercial and financial advice as well as raising capital for developers of renewable energy markets.

Dane Wilkins, Head of Renewable Energy Capital, JLL, says "It is great to have Dominic joining the team. His appointment reinforces our commitment to delivering market-leading advice in the renewable energy industry where we expect continued growth over the next few years. We are seeing new investors and players entering the market as real estate capital seeks alternative homes with similar risk/return profiles. It is therefore important that as this industry develops, so does our team, and Dominic's extensive experience will allow us to continue to stay ahead of the curve."

The Renewable Energy Capital team is currently advising Infinergy on the sale of Dorenell one of the largest onshore windfarms in the UK at around 200MW.

The team is also advising the owners of Partnerships for Renewables (PfR) Ltd., including InfraRed Capital Partners, on a strategic review of the company and the 600 MW+ development pipeline in Scotland.
