JLL announces expanded EMEA Board role for Benoît du Passage, with Charles Boudet appointed to lead French business

JLL today announced that Benoît du Passage will be taking an expanded regional leadership role, with Charles Boudet succeeding him as Managing Director for France.

Effective 1 July, Benoît du Passage will become CEO for Southern Europe and the Maghreb, with overall regional board responsibility for JLL’s operations across France, Spain, Italy, Portugal, Morocco and neighbouring countries in north-west Africa.  This is an expansion of Mr du Passage’s existing EMEA Management Board role and reflects JLL’s co-ordinated strategic growth plans for the countries of surrounding the western Mediterranean.

The successor to Mr du Passage as Managing Director for JLL France will be Charles Boudet, who will be relocating to Paris to step into his new post from 1 September.  A French national, Mr Boudet has spent the past ten years based in JLL’s Moscow office where, since 2009, he has been Managing Director of the firm’s market-leading Russia & CIS business.  Mr Boudet announced the appointment of Thomas Devonshire-Griffin as his successor in that role in March this year.

Commenting on the appointments, EMEA CEO Christian Ulbrich said: “This new leadership structure will better meet the needs of growing numbers of our clients looking for closely integrated services across the countries of southern Europe and north-western Africa.  Benoît has deep and wide ranging experience of our clients and our own operations across all these markets and is ideally placed to lead our co-ordinated growth strategy, carefully reflecting and anticipating the needs of our clients, as market conditions inside and outside of the Eurozone continue to improve.”

Mr Ulbrich continued: “We are delighted that Charles Boudet has accepted the role of Managing Director for France.  His extensive leadership experience, particularly in growing our highly respected capabilities in Russia over recent years, will be a fine complement to the already very strong executive board and leadership team we have in place in France.”

Benoît du Passage said: “We see great prospects for all our businesses across southern Europe and north-western Africa where improving economic conditions are supporting increased client interest and activity.  I am excited by the opportunity this new role will give me to gain new perspectives helping to shape and drive JLL’s continued growth across this part of the EMEA region and beyond.  With Charles coming in as Managing Director, leading a fantastic management team, JLL’s business in France will be in excellent hands.”

Charles Boudet commented: “I have hugely enjoyed my time in Moscow and will move back to Paris enormously proud of my colleagues and their sustained achievements across Russia & CIS.  However, as a Frenchman, there is something special about being asked to return home to lead JLL’s outstanding business in France.  This is a really exciting new challenge for me and I cannot wait to get started in September."
