Enrique Losantos appointed Managing Director of JLL in Spain

Key country leadership appointment positions market-leading JLL business for further growth

JLL, the international real estate services provider, has appointed Enrique Losantos as its new Managing Director for Spain. Losantos has been the Director of JLL's Investor Business in Spain since April last year, a role he will now combine with his new country leadership responsibilities.

This appointment follows a year of strong growth for JLL as the market-leading real estate services business in Spain. Losantos will lead the firm's strategic focus on adding new complementary advisory services to its core investor services, as well as offering corporate clients a sophisticated and comprehensive range of services tailored to their real estate needs.

"During the almost 30 years we've been operating in Spain, JLL has been adept at adapting to the needs of its clients and long term market trends. Enrique's appointment once again shows that we have made a decision that positions us at the forefront of the sector," said Benoît du Passage, JLL's CEO of Southern Europe & Maghreb.

Losantos graduated in Economics and Business Administration from Madrid's Universidad Autónoma and also completed a General Management Programme at the IESE Business School. He is also RICS certified.

He began his career at Société Générale where he spent three years as a trader in the options and futures markets. After Société Générale, he was the Deputy CFO at Grupo Riofisa for seven years.

Between 2006 and 2013, he was the Head of Real Estate in the Capital Markets department at Banesto. He was in charge of creating, structuring and executing financial transactions across all commercial property market segments. Also at Banesto, he led and executed numerous alternative asset sales processes.

In January 2013, he joined Grupo Santander as the Head of Mergers and Acquisitions in the real estate sector for Europe. In this position, he worked with investors and clients from the main EMEA and Latin American markets where the bank is present.

Talking about his appointment as Managing Director of JLL Spain, Enrique Losantos said: "The property market offers unique opportunities for a company like JLL. I look forward to building on recent achievements as we strategically diversify our service offering in Spain in order to help our clients and continue to grow our business. We have  an excellent team and remain focused on meeting and exceeding our clients' objectives."
