JLL appoints Frank Pörschke as President EMEA Markets in expanded EMEA Management Board role; Timo Tschammler steps up as CEO JLL Germany

JLL has appointed Frank Pörschke to the role of President EMEA Markets, with responsibility for 14 of the company's European country businesses. Mr Pörschke, who is already a member of JLL's EMEA Management Board and currently also country head of JLL in Germany, takes on the newly created position, reporting to Guy Grainger, EMEA CEO, with effect from 1 January 2017.

Adding to his existing overview of JLL's businesses in Germany, Switzerland and the Benelux countries, Mr Pörschke will assume responsibility for Central & Eastern Europe (with offices in Poland, Czech Republic, Hungary, Romania, Serbia and Slovakia), the Nordic region (Sweden and Finland) and Turkey.

In a related move, Timo Tschammler will become CEO of JLL in Germany, effective 1 March 2017, replacing Mr Pörschke when he steps down from that position. Mr Tschammler will continue to report directly to Mr Pörschke in his new role.

Mr Pörschke has been at the helm of JLL's German business since November 2011, during which time he has overseen a period of tremendous growth. The company has almost doubled its annual revenues in Germany from €88m in 2011 to €175m in 2015 while the number of JLL employees in Germany has increased from 600 to more than 1,000 today.  In addition to strong organic growth, JLL has complemented its service offering in Germany by acquiring companies including mieterausbau.com, Acrest Property Group and, most recently, Zabel Property.

Mr Tschammler has been a member of JLL's Management Board in Germany since October 2012 and currently has overall responsibility for Offices, Logistics & Industrial, Debt Advisory and Digital Services, as well as for JLL's offices in Düsseldorf, Cologne, Munich and Stuttgart.

Guy Grainger, JLL's EMEA Chief Executive, said: "Germany is the largest commercial real estate market in continental Europe and under Frank's strong leadership, JLL has enhanced, expanded and consolidated its position as a clear leader in a highly competitive market. At the same time Frank's vision has helped us to broaden our service offering across both capital markets and corporate solutions, enabling us to meet the needs of many more clients. I'm delighted that Frank has accepted this new role – his vision, experience and commitment to success will remain invaluable to JLL as we continue to focus on sustainable diversified growth across EMEA."

Frank Pörschke said: "The opportunities to increase and expand our businesses across EMEA to meet the needs of our current and future clients are huge. I look forward to playing a leading role in JLL's continued evolution in the region.

"Timo's focus on innovation, his entrepreneurial approach, and his ability to lead people make him my natural successor and ideally placed to step up as CEO for our German business," added Mr Pörschke.
